Summer Season Walkthrough

Complete guide to Summer in Seikyu — high-value crops, ocean fishing, seasonal events, and beating the heat.

Summer in Seikyu

Summer is the most profitable farming season. With high-value crops like Melon and Watermelon, smart planting can double your gold. However, longer growth times require careful planning.

# Planting Strategy

Days 1-3: Plant Melons immediately — at 12 days, they need the full season. Also start Pumpkins (10 days).

Days 4-10: Fill remaining fields with Tomatoes and Corn. Tomatoes offer the best mid-range profit.

Days 11-17: Second wave planting. Corn and Sunflowers can still finish before season end.

Days 18-28: Only plant Sunflowers (6 days) or nothing. Focus on harvesting and selling.

Key Rule: A crop planted on Day 17 with 12-day growth will die on Day 1 of Fall. Always do the math.

Target: Pufferfish (150g) is the Summer fishing prize. Ocean fishing on clear days gives the best results. Eel in rivers is also solid income.

Summer Events and Birthdays

# Birthdays

  • Summer 5 — Yoni (Deer Yokai Singer) — Give Sweet Potato or Flower Bouquet
  • Summer 9 — Torleone (Kawauso Fish Shop Owner) — Give Rare Fish or Fishing Rod Upgrade

# Seasonal Events

  • Summer Festival — A fireworks celebration. Important for NPC bonding and unique dialogue.
  • Casino Special — Yoni performs; the casino may offer limited-time rewards.
  • Typhoon Warning — A weather event that can damage unprotected crops. Ensure scarecrows are placed and consider harvesting vulnerable crops early.

  • Stockpile cooking ingredients
  • Fish for Eel at rivers during evenings

# Week 4 (Days 22-28)

  • Buy Fall seeds in advance
  • Sell all remaining Summer-specific items
  • Prepare farm layout for Fall crops

Summer Profit Maximization

Summer offers the highest profit potential of any season:

  1. Melons are king — 33.3g/day profit. Plant as many as you can afford on Day 1
  2. Cook before selling — Turn Tomatoes into Omurice (adds Egg + Rice value) for more profit
  3. Fish the ocean — Pufferfish and Cuttlefish are too valuable to ignore
  4. Water twice daily — If you have an upgraded watering can, morning and evening watering can improve crop quality

Dealing with Typhoons

Summer typhoons can destroy crops. Mitigation strategies:

  • Upgrade scarecrows to deluxe versions
  • Harvest high-value crops before the typhoon hits (check weather forecasts)
  • Keep a stockpile of seeds for emergency replanting
  • Use indoor time during typhoons for cooking and crafting
